This palacial house stands right in the centre of Villa de La Orotava, an historic town in the north of Tenerife.

The initial construction dates back to the end of the sixteenth century although the main facade, with its obvious Neo-classical style, is due to alterations made in 1807 by Don Jos de Bthencourt Castro y Molina, and the interior was extensively redesigned at the beginning of the twentieth century.

The facade encapsulates the Neo-classicism in this town because of its symmetry, the arrangement of its spaces, the curved outer wall and the carved stone that crowns the windows of the main floor.

Each of the columns has been carved in one piece and between them is a beautiful chandelier.

In addition to the carved stone facade, it is worth noting the other materials used, for example, "chasnera stone", Seville tiles and pieces of forging imported from France.

This mansion is presented in excellent condition; the roofs have recently been renovated and the electrical installation updated.

LOCATION This luxurious property stands right in the heart of la Villa de La Orotava on Carrera del Escultor Estvez Street, an area of great commercial and administrative importance.

The Municipal Library is located around the corner in the same block, and the Town Hall is across the square from the main south-east facing entrance.

The north boundary of this property is on Hombristas Street, next to the parish of Our Lady of Conception.

There is an old carriageway entrance to the north-east side with a long, paved avenue and a large door with access from Hombristas Street.

To the east and on the same street, the main house is separated by servants quarters which have access to the other wings.

Less than 1 km away, the motorway is easily accessed from the main entrance.
